Company Purpose and Objectives

Tropical is coaching existing NKG farms in Mexico, Brazil and Uganda and farm management companies in El Salvador, Kenya and Tanzania. We are still searching and assessing new possible locations for additional business opportunities either as NKG farms or farm management companies in a number of pre-selected countries. Here the combination of sustainable production and economic viability is decisive for the rejection or acceptation of new projects.

As part of this strategy all major coffee types, namely "Washed Arabica", "Unwashed Arabica" as well as "Robusta" shall be produced and marketed under our own brand.

On all farms under the direct or indirect influence of Tropical the management is guided by our "sustainable farming" philosophy. This means integrated production, protection and preservation of the environment as well as social sensitivity, but never the less long-term viability.

For this purpose and in collaboration with La Puebla farm in Mexico and EDE Consulting in Hamburg a set of farming sustainability standards have been developed. These standards define the environmental and social benchmarks for our farming operations.

Agronomy and management know-how gained through our activity is pooled and made available to our affiliated companies and thereby enhance their management effectiveness. We are actively training international and local staff and consequently offer a variety of management functions. We want to show farmers, that a long-term economic thinking combined with environmental and social standards has advantages for everyone, then short-term profit maximisation.
